    Snape,

I read on a forum post that you done a good review of the Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Baryta. I’ve looked over your site, but can’t find the review. Any chance you could help me on this?

Also I wish you a great christmas time.

    Best regards,
    Stig Garcia

I used to have reviews on my main web site. I decided to run just dedicated photography without mixing it up. I now just work, undercover so to speak with a few companies like X-Rite.

    Dear Neil,
Do you offer private workshops? If so how much would 1 hr & 2 hrs cost?

I am starting my first seminar this year in Madrid. Hopefully there will be more, and in different places. You could come to Paris, here it would be easier for me. For your benefit 2hrs would be a bit short for what it is worth, but doable. Cost for me to teach around 100€/hour but costs on top of course.

Hello Neil, I would be interested in a 1 on 1 workshop, perhaps several spanning over 1 week or 2.
I read you can sometimes travel for the occasion, (I am based in prague), but I am thinking in Paris would be the most effective.
    Looking forward to discussing more.

    Bien cordialement

Yes I would be delighted. Paris is at times easier, as there is more potential for finding talent faster and often better choices than smaller cities. We can look at dates, and set a wish list resulting in an approximate price schedule accordingly.

Alright. I am open to any dates, really. And the sooner the better. I would just rather the different sessions not be too far apart as I will need to manage my accomodation throughout (or one of my old buddies’ couch will, hopefully 🙂
I would like to do beauty and fashion, I am hoping we could discuss over the phone, so I will give you a call this morning. I am French btw.
      A bientot

      Bonjour,
Si la taille du studio ne pose pas problème oui, il y a tous ce qu’il faut comme pieds, lampes HMI et tungstène, meme un enregistreur Zoom avec un micro Rode, si besoin.

Thanks for the kind words. As time goes on I tend to strive for as little as retouching as possible, sometimes none at all is necessary. When needed I can do my own, and only on some catalogues it would be preferable to outsource. Keep up the good work David.

    Hi Neil Snape,
I have been following your remarks on Colorsync Users, though I’m not as technical as you seem to be. Through the DC Colorsync gang I got an Eizo with a 50% discount 12 years ago. It is giving up the ghost and I saw your recommendation of the BenQ, four or five months ago which I had never heard of. I’m just double checking that because you still have the review posted you remain pleased with it.
I’ve enjoyed your work. Currently my photo sites are down – work in DC, exhibits of stone quarries in Provence and bike riders in Hanoi. I was a kid in Paris and ran Gallimard’s small U.S. operation before finally becoming a full time photographer in DC, France and VN.
If you could send me a simple confirmation about the monitor, I’d very much appreciate it.
    Thanks, Shep Ferguson

      Hello Sheppard,
Indeed I wrote a follow up after using this monitor set up reliably for a year now. Absolutely zero problems. There is very little drift as expected so frequent recalibration is recommended only at season changes or perhaps environmental operating changes (seasons, updates, upgrades). Many others reviews were written confirming the authenticity to its out of the box quality, being one of the best monitors out there regardless of price. Only one detail I have reported to BenQ is that when tethering via cdmi the rotation of the screen is opposite of the way we hold cameras. They replied saying the information was sent to engineering, possibly a future firmware will resolve this.
