Neil Snape was born in Halifax Canada, later moving to Vancouver. He went into engineering but transitioned early in his career following his passion to photography. After relocating to Paris, he began to develop and apply his technical ability with the artistic underpinnings the art world of Paris offered. Working mostly in still life exploring texture, multi-exposition, and very unique lighting styles creating beauty images that are the trademark of his work today. Snape’s skilful use of technical studio lighting has given him a signature style of extremely detailed photography, and he is particularly well-known for his striking beauty imagery. This attention to detail, form, colour, depicts a marriage of art and reality at the same time. Snape has collaborated with international publications including Madame Figaro, Jalouse, Marie Claire, Marie France, and Biba. His commercial clients include Helena Rubenstein, Sonia Rykiel, YSL Beauté, Lanvin, Cartier, Lalique, Leonard, L’Oreal, and LMVH . He lives with his wife and 2 sons in Paris.
